How we handle personal data.
Last updated 23 June 2026
This notice explains how Netting Edge Ltd (“Netting Edge”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects personal data when you interact with us, our website or our services. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this notice and we process it in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Who we are
Netting Edge Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 17220533) with registered office at 167–169 Great Portland Street, Fifth Floor, London W1W 5PF.
For any privacy enquiry, contact info@nettingedge.com.
Data we collect
We process limited categories of personal data, including:
- Contact data — name, business email, telephone number, employer and role, provided when you contact us or engage our services.
- Engagement data — correspondence, meeting notes and information you share with us in the course of an engagement.
- Technical data — IP address, browser type, device information and basic usage data collected by standard web server logs when you visit nettingedge.com.
We do not knowingly collect special category data and we do not hold client funds, assets or trading positions.
How we use your data
We use personal data to:
- respond to enquiries and provide requested information;
- scope, negotiate and deliver advisory engagements;
- perform client onboarding, due diligence and conflict checks;
- maintain business records and comply with legal obligations;
- protect the security and integrity of our systems and communications.
Lawful bases
We rely on the following lawful bases under UK GDPR:
- Contract — to take steps at your request prior to entering, and to perform, an engagement.
- Legitimate interests — to run our consultancy, respond to business enquiries and keep our systems secure, balanced against your rights.
- Legal obligation — to comply with tax, accounting and record-keeping requirements.
- Consent — where you have explicitly opted in (for example, to receive specific communications). You can withdraw consent at any time.
Sharing and processors
We do not sell personal data. We share it only where necessary with carefully selected service providers acting on our instructions — for example, hosting, email, document management and accountancy providers — and where required by law or regulatory authority. All processors are bound by written terms imposing confidentiality and security obligations consistent with UK GDPR.
International transfers
Where personal data is transferred outside the UK, we rely on adequacy regulations or appropriate safeguards (such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses) and apply additional measures where required.
Retention
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including any legal, accounting or reporting requirements. Engagement records are typically retained for seven years from the end of the relevant engagement.
Security
We apply technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk, including access controls, encryption in transit, hardened communications, segregated working environments and staff confidentiality obligations. No system can be guaranteed entirely secure; we review our controls regularly.
Your rights
Subject to UK GDPR you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- request correction of inaccurate data;
- request erasure or restriction in certain circumstances;
- object to processing based on legitimate interests;
- request portability of data you have provided;
- withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.
To exercise any of these rights, email info@nettingedge.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk), although we would appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns first.
Cookies
nettingedge.com uses only strictly necessary cookies required for the site to function. We do not deploy advertising, profiling or third-party analytics cookies. Standard server logs record technical information for security and diagnostic purposes and are retained for a limited period.
